Message	suggestion on how to behave. About the EGT, yes, it does stand for Exhaust Gas Temperature, but I'm sure you already knew that because otherwise you wouldn't have put the logic into question. I've re-read that 'hypothetical, down the strip' paragraph and I see what you are pointing out. I will still stand true to my assertion that the temperature of the reaction is primarily dependent on the A/F ratio.
